approved clinicians practicing in Armstrong, Butler, Crawford, Indiana, Lawrence, Mercer,
Venango, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties*

Intended Participants:
Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Professionals, Licensed Clinicians, and Licensed Psychologists who are providing Psychotherapy either:
Within a Licensed Outpatient Clinic or As part of a Group/Independent Practice

The training consists of a series of one full day in-person training event followed by eight webinars that cover a wide range of topics that are specific to the Behavioral Health needs of the Geriatric population.

Completion of the course in its entirety results in being added to Carelon HealthChoices Geriatric Competent Clinician provider list which is distributed to referral agents across the counties.

Intended Participants:
Anyone wishing to become more aware of issues faced by persons referred to as “sexual minorities”. This heterogeneous population also includes persons with gender identity differences. All audiences and levels of staff including Board Members and C-suite leaders to direct care and support staff.

Description:
In this This 6-hour training is focused on basic cultural competency. In this training, participants will gain an understanding of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE) and will learn how to create inviting work and clinical experiences for all individuals.

Principles and Practices for Clinicians Working with LGBTQIA+

This is a FREE 2-day training series for approved clinicians practicing in Armstrong, Butler, Crawford, Indiana, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties.

Lunch is provided to participants on both training days.

Intended Participants:
Behavioral health clinicians who provide counseling or psychotherapy services as well as clinical supervisors and managers. This training assumes participants have basic understandings of behavioral health clinical processes and have completed cultural competency learning related to Sexual orientation and Gender Identity and Expression.
In this 2-day seminar, the focus is to prepare clinicians to address the behavioral health needs of LGBTQIA+ individuals. This training requires that participants have completed the Creating Welcoming Services for LGBTQIA+ Individuals and Their Families training.
